Katarzyna Galdyn ~ My Senior Story
DePaul was a school on my list and I was thrilled that I got accepted there because it is one of the best schools for students that are interested in a career in medicine. When I got an invitation to accept a spot in DePaul's Pathways Honors Program, I was even more thrilled because I knew that I have always been interested in having a career in medicine, and by being a part of the Pathways Honors Program, I have a chance to participate in the Early Opportunity program which will allow me to apply and possibly be admitted early to medical school. I am a first-generation Polish-American college student and I am excited to go to DePaul and follow my dreams.
Trinity is special to me because I formed so many friendships and I know they will last forever. On my first day here during Freshmen Orientation, I was the only girl from my grade school so I did not know anyone. From that day to now, I have made many friends and I am so grateful for them. Trinity is also special to me because of the teachers that have taught me these past 4 years. I am so thankful for them because they have taught me so much and I know that because of them, I am well-prepared for college and I know that I will do well because of all that I have learned these past four years.
One of my favorite Trinity traditions are the Just Because Games. They are always so much fun and it is nice to see all the classes supporting their teams. I also enjoy the annual Winter and Spring Concerts. As a choir member myself, I have enjoyed singing various songs and I also have enjoyed meeting many people that share the same passion for singing just as I do.
My message to future Trinity Blazers is to enjoy the time here because it will go by quickly and know that everyone is cheering you on!
