THE MISSION OF STUDENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Student Services Department is aligned with Trinity's mission to help all students learn the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the behaviors necessary for them to reach their full potential as citizens who can meet the challenges of a changing society. The Student Services Staff work as collaborative partners with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community to promote positive self-development, academic achievement, social responsibility, and life-long learning. Our department provides services and interventions which focus on meeting the academic, personal/social, and college/career needs of all students.
Trinity's School Counseling Program
The school counseling program is a four-year comprehensive program that works to provide the best possible support for students. It is proactive, part of the school culture and involves the student, parents, and teachers, individually or in groups. It is developmental, in that it addresses a student's unique needs during her particular year in school.

Counselor Services
All students are assigned counselors who will move with a student from grade to grade. The counselors are student advocates in the school and collaborate with students, families and teachers to ensure that each student has an enriching high school experience. Counselors meet with students to discuss:
  • Short-term counseling
  • Community referrals
  • Career resources & information
  • Chronic attendance concerns
  • Problem-solving issues
  • Overall academic progress and supports
  • Academic planning
  • Group counseling referrals
  • College information
