Isabella Bercan ~ My Senior Story
Trinity is special to me because while it has challenged me, I have built a capacity to take on whatever comes my way and when I step into a classroom at Loyola I know I will speak my mind and be confident as a young woman going into the world. People have asked my mother where I go to school because my passion and the way I express myself is noticeable. She says Trinity. Trinity has amplified my fire for change and made my voice heard. I am grateful and privileged to have such a great education and amazing teachers who have built me up even when I felt not good enough or not smart enough, they never gave up. But most importantly Trinity has given me a bond with people I could call sisters. I have a love for these friends that I will never forget, we have become so much closer over these past 4 years and I would not want it any other way.
My favorite Trinity Tradition would be the JUST BECAUSE GAMES. I am very competitive and if you heard someone absolutely screaming from the Senior Section it was me.
My College Acceptance story: I applied to about 10-11 schools when I began the process of applying to college. I was so nervous wondering if these schools would like me enough to accept me. I worked hard for four years in order to get an amazing scholarship and get accepted to a school I loved. In the end, I got into every one of those schools with great scholarships. I was so worried because I don’t come from money so I wanted to make my family proud and be able to pick a great school and cut down the cost by a good amount. I picked Loyola in the end and feel that Loyola will be my new home as I leave Trinity. Loyola is an amazing school with great opportunities. I thank Trinity for building me up enough that all of those schools could see my greatness.
My Message to Future Blazers: Keep your head up and don’t give up. Stay close to the people you trust and treasure every moment.
