Madison Hernandez ~ My Senior Story

"Trinity High School is the first place that I, honestly and truly, can call home. I never understood the meaning of growing as a community because growing up I had only known people from elementary school. During my freshman year, I started to gain a sense of community as the year went along. My heart had grown bigger to create space for Trinity. I am very glad that I was able to spend 4 years of my life, even through a pandemic, with the most amazing, supportive, courageous, and overall empowering women of the Class of 2022.

My favorite Trinity tradition is MOST DEFINITELY, the Just Because Games.

My advice to Future Blazers is to not take time for granted! These next 4 years will fly by like a dream! Live every moment to the fullest!

During my time applying to colleges, there was always a lingering doubt in my mind that I would not be able to attend a college that would best suit me. My heart would race when I thought of applications and receiving my results. After a while, I began to understand receiving a "no" was only a push to a "yes". After a few declinations from some schools, I received my first "Yes" in January of 2022! I had applied for the early action application and received my answer sooner than others. That yes inspired me, made me want more, to see what my limits were, and it gave me hope. After that first yes, I started to receive more and more from schools all around the Midwest! I never imagined that I would be able to have received so many acceptances in a matter of just a few months, and it is all thanks to Mrs. Granholm who had truly helped and inspired me to keep pushing."
