"There were many special events that happen within the halls of Trinity that it seems almost impossible to pick what I will miss most. What comes to mind is the volume of roars during the penny pitch in the cafeteria, the lovely pink bathrooms, the anxiety of opening night, team pep talks before our bowling matches, selling merchandise for the Blazer Shop, and capturing Trinity Life through my camera lens. All of these things sum up the incredible four years that I have experienced. However, what I will miss the most is walking up those concrete steps, opening the heavy wooden doors, and being greeted by so many caring and invested friends, teachers, and staff. Trinity has changed my life and set me up for a successful future. The countless leadership opportunities have given me the strength to be empowered and confident in any situation. I am forever grateful for these past four years and would relive them in a heartbeat.
My favorite Trinity tradition is the torch runners and the pride of each runner by their classmates is my favorite Trinity tradition. Seeing the fun, creative approaches of the torch runners will be unforgettable. No matter what class I was cheering for, I always lit up to see my classmates all gathered together, supporting each other and belting out an uproar of cheers! This truly defines what it means to be a Trinity Blazer.
My message for future Trinity Blazers is that Trinity offers so many leadership opportunities but it takes a leap of faith to spark change! One hundred and four years of strong, determined women have walked the same halls. These four years will go by so fast so make your mark and create your legacy.
My family and I visited the University of Kentucky during my Sophomore year and I instantly fell in love. I was looking for something that reminded me of Chicago, so the sprawling campus and cityscape hit the mark. However, the warmth and sense of community brought back the same feelings I had when I started my journey at Trinity back in 2018! I remember thinking, “Did I really just find my dream school (again)?” It felt almost too good to be true. But, I still had two years until I was a Senior and my decision on UK could change within that time. During my Junior year, I spent time visiting other campuses around the Midwest but none of them compared to Kentucky. When Senior year approached, my family and I took one final visit to refresh my memory. When I stepped foot on the bluegrass I fell head over heels again! When I committed to Kentucky I could not be more excited to start my new journey! Trinity has defined the word home to me and I couldn't have picked Kentucky without experiencing such commitment by a school. I am so proud to be a Blazer and to know that wherever I go I will always have my blue and white to remind me of my time at Trinity."
