Alyssa Bennett - My Senior Story

Senior year is an emotional year celebrating all the lasts. Though my senior year looked different than what I would have expected 4 years ago, it is still a memorable one. Even though we will not have our last Just Because Games or my last senior night, the lasts that we have been able to celebrate have been memorable. Because of this pandemic, it has made me realize how every moment is special because I never knew that March 13th would have been the last day of my senior year. This time away from Trinity has made me realize how special Trinity has been in my life, as it has been my second home and my second family.

Starting as a freshman, I dove myself into as many opportunities as possible and I am so grateful that I did. Being a 3 sport athlete, a partial IB student, and an active member in Campus Ministry was not easy to juggle, but I gained so many memories and friendships through these experiences. My transformation from freshman year to the young empowered woman I am today was only made possible because of my friends, family, coaches, and teachers that supported me throughout my time at Trinity. As I journey to Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio next year to continue my softball career, I will take all my knowledge and empowerment from Trinity with me. I am proud of the woman that I have become from Trinity, as I have grown to greatly love and appreciate all those around me. This confidence I will carry with my next year into college whether in the classroom or on the field.
