Jillian Johnson ~ My Senior Story
If you had told me four years ago that this is how my senior year was going to end, I would not have believed you. When I was younger, I was a competitive dancer for 7 years, and our recitals were held at Trinity. It was an escape where I got to explore the halls that seemed so big at the time. On my first day of freshman year, I felt a sense of familiarity walking through the halls I once pretended were a castle. Over the course of four years, the familiarity turned into comfort. I always imagined the day I would walk across that stage as a 2020 graduate which then felt so far away. Now, it is here, and it is safe to say that I grew up inside the walls of Trinity; I traded in ballet tights for crew socks, the tutu for a uniform skirt, and tap shoes for Sperrys. My love for the Trinity community and the building itself has grown an infinite amount since the first day I stepped into Trinity. I now know that the halls do not resemble a castle but they will forever be a magical time capsule with the best memories that I will cherish forever. I have learned so many lessons beyond my academics at Trinity that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Although I did not get to finish out the last couple of months at Trinity I can honestly say that I found myself at 7574 Division st., and I met the most amazing girls I will forever call my family.
