Dear Trinity Community,

I am writing to inform you that the Trinity Board of Directors, with the approval of Dominican Veritas Ministries, has selected Tina Taylor-Ritzler, PhD, to be the next President of Trinity High School, effective June 1, 2025. As you know, last Spring, President Laura Curley announced that she would be concluding her ministry at Trinity at the end of this academic year. As Chair of the Board of Directors, I want to assure you that all of us will work closely with President Curley and Dr. Taylor-Ritzler in the months ahead to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Many of you know Tina Taylor-Ritzler as a parent of two Trinity alumnae, current Trinity Board member, and former Board Chair. Dr. Taylor-Ritzler has served in many roles at Dominican University over the last fifteen years including Chair of the Psychology Department, Assistant Director of Core Curriculum and most recently Executive Director of the Office of Career Programs and Employer Relations.

The search for a new President began in April 2024 when the Board of Trustees formed a Search and Selection Committee to find and then bring back to the Board a recommendation for the next President. The Committee worked diligently in conducting a nationwide search that resulted in over fifty applications from which twenty (20) serious candidates were selected. From these candidates, the Committee further discerned and selected the five (5) best candidates to interview. At the conclusion of the interviews, Dr. Taylor-Ritzler was the clear choice to lead Trinity into the future. The Board voted unanimously on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to forward Dr. Taylor-Ritzler’s name to Dominican Veritas Ministries for approval.

The Board and I want to specifically thank President Laura Curley for her service and dedication to Trinity over the past five (5) years. We are particularly grateful that she notified us of her departure as early as she did. It allowed us the time and space to search for and find the best candidate. We are grateful to President Curley for all that she has given, and we wish her God’s richest blessings in her future endeavors. We will be announcing a date for a community-wide thank you reception for President Curley in the near future.

Trinity High School is a treasured community for all of us. We are confident that Dr. Tina Taylor-Ritzler will lead Trinity to an even brighter and more impactful future. We count on your support in welcoming her to this new role. We will be scheduling a community welcome reception for her in the months ahead.

Respectfully,
Susan M. Stelter
Chair, Trinity Board of Trustees

Dear Trinity Community,

I am writing to express my immense joy in being selected by the Board of Directors to serve as the next President of Trinity High School. It is an honor to build on 107 years of excellence in empowering young women through education, and on the extraordinary contributions of generations of Sisters, administrators, teachers, staff, families and friends of Trinity High School.
In the spirit of the Trinity, I share my commitments:

  • A deep love for Trinity High School, born of years of involvement and investment as a parent, Board member and college educator. My husband Ron and I are the proud parents of two Trinity alumnae, Sylvia ’21 and Sophie ’23. For the past six years, I have been a leader on Trinity’s Board of Directors, supporting Trinity’s success. For 15 years, I have served as a professor of Psychology and leader at Dominican University, where I have had the privilege of teaching Trinity alumnae as college students. Through these diverse roles, I understand the unique power of a Trinity education, where each girl is loved and challenged to become the best version of herself, and prepared to thrive in college and beyond as women of faith, knowledge and strength. As President, I will nurture continued excellence in Trinity’s academic programs, student involvement experiences, and global learning—the heart and soul of the Trinity experience.

  • My Catholic faith and commitment. Both Dominican University and Trinity High School have been important contexts for me and my family. As a first-generation American and first-generation college student, I understand the power of Trinity’s Catholic all-girls education to transform lives and empower young women. I am honored to contribute to the 100+ year educational ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, where truth, love and relationships foster our own and others’ thriving. As President, it will be my privilege to continue to honor and promote Trinity’s values.

  • Twenty-five years of experience as a school leader. My work is rooted in appreciation, collaborative processes and shared accountability, focused on improving alignment between an organization’s mission, strategic plan and operational reality. I have worked in and beyond educational settings from Pre-Kindergarten to high school and higher education, with my graduate work focused on high school. As President, I will bring my administrative and facilitation skills to foster organizational systems that support Trinity’s mission.

I look forward to working with President Laura Curley, the Board of Directors and Dominican Veritas Ministries to ensure a smooth transition in leadership over the next months. I thank President Curley for her leadership over the past five years. Trinity is strong and I am grateful for her investment in Trinity’s success, past, present and future.

In closing, I thank you for being a member of our beloved community and for your investment in Trinity High School. Partnering with you is essential to Trinity’s continued thriving. I look forward to building relationships and working with you.

Go Blazers!
Tina Taylor-Ritzler, PhD
