Alumnae Service Award

Paula Cozzi Goedert, J.D. ‘70 was president of the National Honor Society while at Trinity. Upon graduation, she went on to attend Mundelein College (Summa Cum Laude 1973) and Northwestern Law School (Magna Cum Laude 1976). She has spent her fifty-year legal career practicing tax and association law with the firms of Jenner & Block and Barnes & Thornburg. 

 

Paula is the chair of the firm’s Associations and Foundations group. She represents nonprofit organizations, including professional societies, trade associations, public charities, and private foundations. Paula offers a depth of experience in guiding nonprofits through the challenges they face, and appreciates the opportunity to help make a difference.

 

She is dedicated to enriching the broader nonprofit community through presentations and publications. She often focuses on organizational structure, competition law, intellectual property rights, and tax issues. Her commitment to education underscores her dedication to supporting the nonprofit sector.

 

Paula is married to Ed Goedert (Fenwick 1969) and has two sons and four grandchildren. Ed and Paula focus their charitable and volunteer activities on Catholic education in the Oak Park and River Forest community.
