Madeleine Falkenholm ~ My Senior Story
"When I realized I had to begin preparing for high school, I always thought that I would go to public high school but after touring Trinity, I found that this school was where I felt most comfortable and at home. I wasn't sure if that wish could actually come true until I walked into my kitchen one day and my family had put a Trinity flag in a little slice of chocolate cake. At that point, I knew where I would be for the next four years and I was ecstatic.
I've learned a lot about myself in my years in high school. I've made new friends, gone to school dances, and learned a lot. I turned 16 and got my license, turned 18 and registered to vote, and I committed to college. All of these new things are happening and with the help of the people I've met at Trinity, I finally feel ready. At Trinity, I found a sense of community that made a big difference in my life as I navigated high school.
As I go off to college, I will bring with me the memories of the 4 years I’ve spent at Trinity. Though a bit unconventional because of Covid, I will be able to enjoy my time here nonetheless. I remember the spirit weeks with the activities during lunch, decorating lockers for birthdays, and having to clean out our lockers before we left in March 2020. At that time we didn’t know how long it would be before we came back and we were just excited for a long spring break :) I remember lunches outside on the grass with friends and in the choir room. With every activity at Trinity, what I remember most is my friends.
One message I have to future Trinity students is to begin your freshman year with your head held high. No matter how you ended up at Trinity, this school was one of the best things that ever happened to me and it can be for you too."
