Simbiat Odetola ~ My Senior Story

"I remember my virtual interview with Ms. Gallie in the Spring of 2020. I was nervous and wanted to impress the Principal of the school with which I had fallen in love just by browsing its website. From the first minute of the conversation, Ms. Gallie put me at ease and we ended the conversation talking about my favorite author, Chimamanda Adichie. My time at Trinity has surpassed my expectations. I have had the opportunity to be a part of an intelligent and passionate group of girls who are also some of the kindest people I know. Coming in at the height of the pandemic, I was welcomed and helped by everyone. During my time at Trinity High School, I have evolved from a timid and unengaged girl to a young woman that is actively involved in the school community. I have tremendously increased my involvement in extracurricular activities in school and community services. Thanks to Trinity, I have become a confident and independent woman who is more comfortable navigating life and pursuing a career in the medical field. I consider Trinity's community to be its greatest asset, and I am honored to be a part of it.

It is difficult to name just one as I have several favorites. My favorite traditions at Trinity are the Food Drive hosted by Blazers Seeking Justice, Just Because Games, IB Art & Design Senior Showcase, and Taste of Trinity.

My message to future Blazers is to be involved! Join as many clubs as possible because that is where I met my amazing and humorous friends, and I was able to connect with many students and teachers. Importantly, allow yourself to enjoy the high school experience, strive for good grades, and keep your head up. Go Blazers!"
