In most math courses, the primary objective is the right answer. In this course, the focus will be on interesting questions, creative approaches, and the satisfaction of building a model that explains a real-life problem. Participants will learn how mathematicians simplify complex situations into solvable problems, and how those solutions are applied across a variety of fields.
Working cooperatively with the instructors and their peers, participants will incorporate research, creativity, and mathematical reasoning into a practical application. No prior experience with mathematical modeling is necessary. All participants are welcome, and the atmosphere is fun and supportive!
Join us Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 11, 9AM – 12PM!
