Trinity’s Mock-Trial Team Takes Second Place

Trinity High School’s Mock Trial team took second place in the St. Ignatius College Prep Mock Trial Competition. Trinity was the only all-girls’ high school in this competition. Trinity students also received individual awards: Emily Kowal, ’20, received First Place for Prosecution Attorney; this is Emily’s second year on the team. First time competing, Alyssa Marmolejo, ’22, received First Place for Defense Attorney and while second year team member, Khadedra Neals ’20 took Second Place for Defense Attorney. Khadedra also received a Diversity Scholarship Award to be used for her college education. While ten Trinity students competed in this competition, there are twenty Trinity students who participate in Mock Trial. Students are coached by former States Attorney Anita Alvarez and alumnae Karin Connelly, Veryl Gambino, Hope Fiedler Geldes, and Maureen O’Brien. Interested students should stop by Ms. Lavezzorio’s office in 102 for more information.
