Trinity High School Announces Class of 1978 Alumna as New President.


Trinity High School Board of Directors announces the appointment of Dr. Corinne Lally Benedetto as president. We are excited about the future of Trinity as well as the experience and vision Dr. Benedetto will bring to carry on Trinity’s tradition of empowering our young women.
 
Dr. Benedetto, a 1978 alumna of Trinity, is currently the interim dean of DePaul University’s School for New Learning. She assumes the role as Trinity’s president-elect on January 22, 2018 and transitions to President of Trinity High School on July 1, 2018, upon her retirement from DePaul University. Dr. Benedetto succeeds Sister Michelle Germanson, O.P, who will remain at Trinity as President Emerita.

We are confident that Dr. Benedetto, with her extensive experience, will help shape an even stronger Trinity as we enter our second century of educating young women.”

Dr. Benedetto holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in History, Sociology and American Studies from Rosary College, now known as Dominican University.
 
Dr. Benedetto is an experienced educational administrator currently serving as interim dean of DePaul University’s School for New Learning where she is responsible for the college’s fiscal management, workforce development, fundraising and alumni relations. Prior to this role, for 10 years Dr. Benedetto was the associate dean of Operations and Enrollment Management at DePaul, responsible for the development, measurement and improvement of student retention, readmission and graduate initiatives. During this time, she also served as associate dean for Undergraduate Programs. She is the mother of three grown children and resides in Aurora, Illinois.
