Each year, Trinity High School sends several students to participate in the PeaceBuilders Initiative at Catholic Theological Union’s Bernardin Center in Hyde Park. The PeaceBuilders Initiative is a social justice program that empowers high school students to work for social justice based on the teachings of the Roman Catholic tradition. Students spend a summer week learning about Catholic Social Teaching, praying, and visiting one of several ministry sites. Each student is responsible to develop and implement a Peace Project throughout the following year that addresses an issue of social injustice within her local community. For more information, please visit the PeaceBuilders website.
This year, two students represented Trinity at the PeaceBuilders Initiative:
Caroline Planek, 2015
Emma Samatas, 2015
