I had a positive shadowing experience in the fall of my eighth-grade year, so I made a gut decision and chose to attend Trinity. Since walking through the front doors on my first day of freshman orientation, I haven’t regretted that decision, not once. For the past four years, I have been a part of a thriving community of young women who have transformed from classmates into sisters.
The bond that I share with my peers is truly amazing. During my time at Trinity, and especially my time in the IB program, there has not been an instance when I have reached out for help that a peer has not been there. The support system that we have created among ourselves is truly one of my favorite things about Trinity and I know that it will continue to be the most important as I move on after graduation. It is also what makes our school spirit so electrifying. It is difficult to experience comradery that runs deeper than our senior class preparing for and competing in the “Just Because Games” during Spirit Week.
Other people sometimes assume that a small all-girls school like Trinity might be a restricting place, but I would disagree wholeheartedly. At Trinity, every opportunity to be an active member of the community lingers at your fingertips just waiting for you to reach out and grab it. At another school, I could never have been so deeply involved as I have been at Trinity between sports, clubs, campus ministry, and choir. Here, as long as I put in the work, I can be whoever I want to be.
I am so thrilled to graduate from high school knowing that I have been solidly prepared for everything that lies ahead. Although I will miss my sisters, and especially the other members of the class of 2019, I am ready to jump into my next challenge with all of the enthusiasm and determination that Trinity has instilled within me. Go Blazers!
