RIVER FOREST TO HONOR TRINITY HIGH SCHOOL WITH STREET NAMING

Trinity High School will be honored with the unveiling of an honorary street sign on the 7500 block of West Lathrop on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, following our Founder’s Day mass and celebration. At 11:45am, the entire Trinity community will gather at the corner of Lathrop and Division where River Forest officials will unveil “Trinity Way.”

It is an incredible honor to mark the indelible bond between Trinity High School and the River Forest community. Beginning in the fall of 2017 Trinity opened its centennial celebration. Since 1908, the Trinity mission is focused on the education and empowerment of women. This is a core idea at Trinity passed down from the five pioneering sisters who established Trinity (then called Rosary House) to educate and empower women at a time when they did not even have the right to vote.

It is Trinity’s role to help shape the next generations of young women – to help nurture their faith, fill their thirst for knowledge and cultivate their passion for truth and justice to make the world a better place. For 100 years, our young women have gone on to become compassionate global citizens, and we view this street sign as a powerful symbol of that legacy.

All are welcome to attend. For further information on our Centennial Celebration and all of the corresponding events, please visit www.trinityhs.org/100.
