“The time waiting to hear back from college was nerve-wracking. At this point, I agreed that whatever school I got into first, I would attend. It was around November that I received my first acceptance from Loyola Marymount University. This school was high on my priority list, but I wasn’t sure if that was the school I could picture myself at. The next two acceptances I received were fairly good schools, but definitely schools that were out of my picture. The last acceptance that I received really made me rethink my decision to go to Loyola Marymount University. The last acceptance was Santa Clara University, which is a not only beautiful school, but has a rigorous business program that I was admitted to. The decision between SCU and LMU became extremely difficult. After visiting LMU over spring break, I knew it was my home. Now that I am going to college in California, I feel more independent and undefeatable. There are so many options to choose from especially for colleges, and to be able to attend some of the best schools for my major brings another load of pride and self-acceptance that Trinity rooted in me. I am prepared for my first day of college to welcome myself as “Kenzie Hunt from Trinity High School”!
