#FutureBlazers Theatre and Dance Three-Day Camp

Join Trinity’s Performing Arts Department for a three-day camp that will help performers build a strong foundation in acting, dance, directing, and theatrical makeup.  Students will work with Ms. Pat (Theatre director) and Ms. Nikki (Trinity’s Dance Instructor) to become well rounded performers while also learning about Trinity’s performing arts curriculum and opportunities!

Dates: Tuesday, July 20, Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday July 22
Time: 1PM - 4PM

Location: Due to Trinity’s Auditorium Renovation the camp will be held in the dance studio, health and fitness center, and outside on Trinity’s campus.

Cost: $90 (includes individual stage makeup kit and tshirt) 
Tuesday, July 20
Acting and scene work.

Wednesday, July 21
Theatrical makeup, including wounds with latex and stage blood.  Directing and technical theatre.

Thursday July 22
Dance and choreography.

Camp Refunds
No camp refunds are issued after May 15th, 2021.
 
Canceled Camps and Workshops
If a camp is canceled for any reason, a full refund will be applied.
Health and Safety Information 
Trinity High School has delivered in person instruction throughout the 20-21 school year following the safety measures for re-opening schools issued jointly by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education in June of 2020.  You can reference those best practices which will be followed throughout the duration of the Trinity Summer Experiences here.  In the event that COVID-19 transmission levels or community thresholds prohibit camp from running safely, families will be notified as soon as possible and issued full tuition refunds.  Additionally, campers who cannot report to camp during a scheduled session due to the positive or presumed positive diagnosis of COVID-19 will be issued refunds.  
 
Full health and safety information will be shared with registered families in May but here are some changes to our programming to expect in the summer of 2021:
  • All campers, staff and families will be required to wear masks throughout the duration of the camp day
  • The Summer of 2021 will not feature any activities involving food preparation, i.e. pizza making, baking, etc
  • Snacks will still be provided in individually wrapped packages to campers, snack time will happen in small groups OUTSIDE.  In the event of inclement weather, small groups will be provided with snacks in indoor spaces that accommodate camper spacing of a minimum of 6 feet apart
  • Parents/Caretakers will not be permitted access to any of the buildings on our campus 
  • Touchless thermal scanners will be set up at the entrance to camp, each camper will have her temperature screened upon arrival.  Any camper/staff member with a temperature reading above 100.4 will not be permitted on campus
  • Trinity’s campus and supplies will be cleaned and sanitized regularly with a priority placed on high touch areas
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available for camper use.  Campers must “pump in and pump out” when entering and exiting new locations 
  • Should a camper develop COVID like symptoms, she will be supervised in a quarantine room on campus until a caretaker can pick her up  
  • As many camp activities as possible will take place on the outdoor grounds of our campus.  Campers are advised to wear sunscreen.  This year, we will not be providing an option for staff to re-apply camper sunscreen during the day 
  • FOR JUNIOR BLAZER CAMP: We will not be able to gather in the Auditorium at the end of the camp season for our annual Junior Blazers Variety Show nor can we host the Parking Lot Cookout this year due to restrictions on gathering numbers.  We will, however, still produce a montage video of this summer’s fun to be shared with families via a password protected platform
