Founders Day 2014

Each year on Founder’s Day we remember and celebrate the legacy of Fr. Samuel Mazzachelli, founder of the Sinsinawa Dominicans. This year we also celebrated Mother Samuel whose vision for women’s education was integral to the founding of Trinity High School.
Their faith, in God and in the future, made Trinity possible. Over the decades, generations of young women have studied here. Who we are today would not be possible without those who began this school and those who have given generously of their time and resources to continue its work through the years.

A Founder’s Day Scholarship is awarded to a senior, as well as a special gift for her and the students nominated for this special award.  The student who receives this honor should exemplify the qualities of our founder, Father Samuel Mazzuchelli.  Such a leader would be described as: truthful, genuine, spiritual, courageous, bold, dynamic, enterprising, original, reflective, independent, visionary and open-minded. This year’s recipient is Kerry Cunningham.
