Erin Dunn ~ Senior Story

Dunn_ErinWhen they say high school flies by they really mean it! I remember being in eighth grade and instantly falling in love with Trinity. At the time, I did not know what it was, but I knew Trinity was my perfect match. Trinity has taught me so much over the past four years it is hard to put into words, but I will try. I have learned to always put my best work out there and I am better than what I think. The teachers at this institution are amazing, intelligent, and caring human beings. They motivate and assist every student in this building. I remember the beginning of senior year when the college application process had just begun. Nervous to apply to my dream school was an understatement. I spoke with several teachers as I began to doubt myself and my abilities. Each teacher motivated me to apply no matter what. They reminded me that I am a fantastic student that always puts her soul and heart into everything. With that boost of confidence I applied and these teachers would check in on me almost daily to see if I ever received a response. The teachers and faculty members at Trinity are beyond welcoming. They always have their doors open whether you need assistance on last night’s homework or if you want to stop by and have a conversation. I remember receiving my acceptance email to my dream school (Louisiana State University) during my activity’s period and proud was an understatement. I immediately told every teacher that encouraged me to apply and thanked them because without them I would have never received the courage to do so. Courage is another value Trinity has taught me. Throughout these past four years, I have learned to take a stance on my beliefs and to never give up. Certain course requirements and competitions, both nationwide and Trinity community wide, encourage students to find their voice and discover what they are passionate about. Trinity has also taught me the value of friendship. Over the past four years I have met several powerful, young women who I am lucky enough to call my best friends. You grow a special bond with the girls at Trinity that is indescribable and it gets to a point where I consider us one big, happy family. No one is judged at Trinity, everyone is welcomed here no matter who you are. Though my high school years are temporary, the lessons, memories, and bonds I have made at Trinity will last forever.

If you are ever debating on if going to an all girls school is the best fit for your daughter, granddaughter, niece, or even for yourself….GO!! Trinity has taught me so much over the past four years I know I would not get at any other school. It is an experience worth a lifetime trust me. I would not trade my last four years at Trinity for anything in the world!
