Trinity Students Share Their Musical Talent With Ireland

Twenty six members from the A Cappella choir will be touring Ireland from March 29th through April 6th.  The students will be performing an Easter Liturgy at the Ennis Cathedral along with lots of other music activities.  Special arrangements have been made in the town of Doolin, noted for its traditional Irish music, to have interaction with their local musicians.
Girls will also have a specially arranged choral workshop while in Dublin.  This talented group will be to be included in the performance season of Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday, April 4th (http://www.christchurchdublin.ie/News—Events/Lunchtime-Recitals.htm).  Of course, this doesn’t even count all of the times they will  just break into song!

Song selections will include sacred, spirituals, American folk songs and a couple Irish tunes. They will be easily recognized while we are there because they will be wearing their beautiful, new blue A Cappella Choir jackets.  They will even be prepared if it rains!  The itinerary includes visits to Galway, Ennis, Doolin, Bunratty, Adare, Cashel, Blarney, Wicklow and Dublin.  Sr. Michelle and two Trinity teachers: Margaret McNair and Courtney Schlesser will be joining the group on this memorable trip!  The wonderfully talented choral director, Linda Crabtree Powell, is overseeing it all!
