Trinity makes history! Women’s Lacrosse Spring 2014!

Trinity High School is making history!

This year marks Trinity’s 95th Anniversary!  We opened this school year with the largest enrollment in 25years!  Our seniors class of 124 young women have received over $18.1 million in scholarships—the largest in Trinity History!

Trinity sports are making history.  Six Trinity seniors from the Class of 2013 signed to continue playing their sport in college. This year we had girls on cross country, track and bowling go downstate. Our basketball and softball team were GCAC Champs and were ranked within the top 10 in state! The volleyball and soccer teams were regional champs and our softball and soccer team are still in state competitions…

And today in Trinity’s 95th year, as a Trinity community, we are making history again by announcing that Trinity High School, in the Spring of 2014, will field their first ever “Girls Lacrosse Team!”

Trinity will partner this summer with the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association to offer summer camps to any young woman interested in playing the sport.

“It is something we are proud to say the time has come to expand our athletic program further..  Not only are all our teams growing because of the enrollment, but we have so many of our current and future students asking about Lacrosse.  We are super excited!”  Sister Michelle Germanson, president of Trinity High School.

For more information about Trinity’s Lacrosse Program email Coach Laura Gill at lgill@trinityhs.org.  Gill was an all-state Lacrosse player in high school. She participated in Lacrosse at St. Mary’s College, Indiana.  Gill has also coached basketball and cross-country at Trinity and Francis W Parker.  She is thrilled to utilize her knowledge of the game trailblazing this opportunity at Trinity High School.
