Dear Friends,
THIS IS TRULY AN ALLELUIA MOMENT!
After years of dreaming the dream, over five years of planning and close to a year of site preparation and construction, Trinity High School's Board of Directors bestowed on me the distinct honor of cutting the ribbon to officially open the awesome Sister Michelle Germanson Athletic Facility on November 4, 2003!

Accompanied by our guests, His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, OMI and Sister Pat Mulcahey, President of the Trinity High School Corporation, we processed with the Campaign Co-Chairs, Board of Directors, Administrators and Gift Bearers into the new facility amidst "showers" of heavenly blessings (actually about 5 inches worth). Over 850 guests witnessed the ceremony joyfully heralded by brass horns and the angelic
voices of Trinity's Chamber Choir.

After befitting prayers, reflections and intercessional gifts, the Cardinal anointed the building. He prayed for our facility and the student athletes who will demonstrate skill, competition and spirit in this place. His Eminence spoke of his connection to Trinity

through his cousin, an alumna, disabled but filled with courage and inner resources he feels were developed here as a Trinity student.

The voices of the alums rang out with the Alma Mater and those voices were enthusiastically joined by all guests for the inaugural singing of the national anthem. You have to know how my pride swelled as I looked at this new place of spirit that will mean so much to our students' experience.

I send my sincere gratitude to all who have believed, encouraged and given your support. We are overjoyed to see the facility in use but there is still work ahead. In our Building on Tradition Campaign, through the generosity of so many, we have raised over $1.85 million. However, we must secure $1.35 million more to attain our goal of $3.2 million. Yes, my friends, we need angels AND prayers!

Know that I offer my prayers of thanksgiving for this bountiful gift to Trinity, for you, and the faith you have bestowed on me and this administration to lead this wonderful institution named Trinity.

"Trinity is the perfect home for eclectic young women, such as myself. I am president of the Senior class, a starting outside hitter on Trinity's varsity volleyball team, and my most important achievement has been my ability to balance the rigorous schedule of the full International Baccalaureate Program and volleyball. The IB program demands perseverance, and challenges my mind in all classes of knowledge, and a varsity sport requires the same dedication and passion. Trinity has taught me how to manage my time wisely, and that success is possible in whatever I pursue if I challenge myself."
