The Trinitarian Award honors friends of the Trinity community who are leaders in supporting Trinity's mission of preparing its students in the development of skills for
lifelong learning, an ethic of care and the desire for excellence.
Tom and Judy are lifelong members of the Trinity community. Judy and Tom's
family roots at Trinity are strong: Judy graduated in 1958, preceded by her sisters Nancy '50, Joanne '54 and Pat '56 followed by three of her daughters: Julie '82, Debbie '84 and Amy '87. Tom's mother, Eileen, graduated in 1931 followed by all of his sisters: Maureen '55, Barbara '58, Suellen '62 and Joan '68. Together, they have made a significant imprint in the Trinity community.
Tom and Judy have been successful leaders in the Chicagoland community. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Tom went on to become the President of Chicago Hardware and Fixture Company. He has served on the Board of Directors at First National Bank of LaGrange and Heritage Bank of Schaumburg as well as served as a member of the Economic Development Council of Franklin Park. In addition to her commitment to Trinity, Judy has given a great deal of her time to Misericordia serving on its Advisory Board. In 1995, Misericordia recognized Judy's leadership and service to its organization by bestowing upon her the prestigious Sister Mary Rosemary Connelly Medallion Award.
Trinity High School is honored to have been the beneficiary of Tom and Judy's leadership and friendship. We stand among many when we salute and applaud Tom and Judy Herbstritt for their commitment and generosity to Trinity High School -- living examples of Trinitarians.
