On March 14th, Trinity High School held its 8th annual Women In Leadership Day. This year's event was designed to acquaint students with women leaders in the media and communications field. In addition we were pleased to have representatives of several TV stations; from ABC Channel 7: Leah Hope, Theresa Gutierrez and Sara Schulte, from CBS Channel 2 were; Lissa Duss, Beth Fruehling and Kerri Weitzburg, from CLTV were Kristin Letson, Bridget Minogue, Randi Jackson and Dawn Mitchell.

Alumnae speaking were: Celeste Anlauf '70, Millie McMahon Banwart '81, Chris Lee Bollettino '68, Geraldine Conrad '64, Andy Kuhn McFarlane '87, Maureen Murray O'Bryan '54, Mary Ellen Harnett Schiller '63 and Kathleen Creadon Sullivan '61.

Women In Leadership Day is more than a "career day." It was created to inform Trinity students on a personal level of the opportunities available for women in the many professional fields of communication. The interaction with accomplished women also serves to educate Trinity students about the progress and achievements of women in leadership positions and to hear their success stories. Trinity holds this event in March because it is designated as Women's History Month.

Topics in past years were: Women in the Arts, Women in Science and Technology, Women in Health and Medicine, Women Who Make A Difference.
