Amy Rayas ~ Senior Stories

When I first started looking at colleges, I felt super overwhelmed. Because I am the first person to attend college from my family, I did not really know where to start looking. There were so many options that I could not make up my mind. However, I had the chance to attend a program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign during my junior year and I fell in love with the school. It felt like the perfect fit. When I visited again this year, I knew that it was exactly where I wanted to go. I was extremely excited to be accepted into their Computer Science program, which accepted less than 8% of students this year. On top of that, I received an amazing scholarship. I now will be able to attend college without having to burden my parents or myself with loans. I am extremely grateful to have discovered and attended Trinity. I do not know where I would be without Trinity. The amount of dedication that all of the teachers and IB coordinator, Ms. Crnkovick, put into the classes truly makes a difference in the education that Trinity offers. I feel more than prepared to tackle anything that comes my way whether it be in college or after.
