Entrance Exam
Saturday, January 10, 2009 - 8:00am
An entrance exam is required for admissions to Trinity High School. If you have not taken the required entrance exam at another Catholic High School or wish to transfer your scores, please contact, Mary Tansey at 708.453. 9374 or e-mail mtansey@trinityhs.org to schedule an appointment to take the exam.
What do you bring
Bring two #2 pencils and $25.00 for the testing fee. A light snack will be provided during the break.
A calculator may NOT be used during testing.
Trinity has changed the test it administers for the entrance exam. Calculators are no longer permitted.
How long will the test last?
Usually testing will last about 2 1/2 hours.
What test does Trinity use?
Trinity uses the High School Placement Test.
When will I get my results?
All of the high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago mail the results on the same day, Feb. 13th.
Scholarships are available to incoming freshmen who take the entrance exam at Trinity on January 10, 2009. Trinity has experienced an increase in past testing and attendance at all of our events this year and anticipate a large number of testers on Saturday. Priority is given to those that test at Trinity, so transferring scores from other high schools may not be possible.
The following criteria are needed for admission to Trinity:
The Catholic high school entrance exam or equivalent and eighth grade diploma
Record of elementary school achievement
Record of health examinations
Completion of registration forms and registration fees.
Registration
Grade school transcripts must be sent to Trinity from the grade school
immediately after the entrance exam. After the information has been reviewed,
accepted students will be given registration appointments when scores will be
explained and programs designed.
