8th Grade Entrance Exam – January 14th, 2017

Admission Process and Calendar

Test at Trinity
Trinity’s Entrance Exam in Saturday, January 14th and begins promptly at 8AM. Trinity gives the HSPT (High School Placement Test). Calculators are not allowed. Students should bring two #2 pencils and their $25 test fee. There is no pre-registration. Students may only take the exam at one Catholic high school. Students must test at Trinity to be eligible for scholarships.

Send Trinity your Information
To determine acceptance, Trinity looks at the whole student. Admission is not solely based on the entrance exam. We ask that students request their grade schools send us 7th and 8th-grade report cards and standardized test scores.

Receive your Acceptance Letters
Student’s acceptance letters are mailed on February 10th.

Attend the Class of 2021 Welcome Party
Meet your future classmates and join us for the Class of 2021 Welcome Party! Invitations will be sent with
acceptance.

Schedule a registration appointment.
Class of 2021 registration appointments are March 1st and March 2nd. Families will meet with faculty members to discuss programs at Trinity and choose classes.

Incoming freshmen:

  • High School Placement Test or equivalent
  • Eighth-grade diploma and/or recommendation of elementary school administrators
  • A complete record of health by August 15
  • Payment of $600 non-refundable registration fee applicable to tuition
  • Completed registration form
  • Completed Tuition Agreement Contract

  • Participate in a personal interview of student and parent(s) with a school administrator
  • Present at the time of transfer
  • Transcript of credits
  • Letter from counselor regarding attendance and behavior
  • Record of health examination

  • Completed Tuition Agreement Contract

Shadow Days

Spend a day in the life of a Trinity Blazer! Shadow someone you know or meet someone new with similar interests to find out if Trinity is the school for you. E-mail or call Mary Tansey at 708.453.9374 or Patti Williams, at 708.453.8342 to schedule your shadow day. Please include your name, phone number, grade, grade school, date of preference, and the name of a Trinity student you would like to shadow. You must give at least one-week notice!


Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear?
Dress casually as long as it is appropriate for school. Please no jeans or no gym shoes.

What time do I arrive?
Our school day begins at 8 A.M. so shadows are asked to arrive at 7:45 A.M.  You can go to the Main Office where you will be directed by the office staff.

What time is school over?
3:07. You can get picked up in the parking lot behind the school. Please take note that some Thursdays are modified and classes may end at 1:00 or 2:15.

Do I need to bring money for anything?
No, a lunch voucher will be given to you.

When can I shadow?
We allow students to shadow from September through April. We ask that 8th grade girls shadow from September through December, and 7th grade girls can shadow from February through April. If you will be missing school, please notify them that you will be attending a Shadow Day at Trinity.

If you are arriving with a current Trinity student, please make sure that you stop in to the recruitment office to pick up your nametag and folder for the day. It contains passes for lunch, plays, home sporting events, and a free Trinity t-shirt!
