Sophomores Welcomed as Full IB Diploma Candidates
On Friday, April 27, twenty-one Trinity sophomores were welcomed into the International Baccalauerate (IB) Full Diploma program. Following a commissioning prayer service, the sophmores gathered for pizza and conversation with a number of current full diploma IB juniors and seniors, where they had the opportunity to share concerns and advice about the next two years of study.
On Saturday, April 29, they participated in their first CAS service project. Nineteen sophomores and a number of juniors and seniors spent the day spring cleaning at Vajrayana Buddhist Center in Oak Park. Gen Khedrub, the resident teacher, has been a regular guest speaker for Mr. Frere's World Religions class. The students spent the day cleaning the interior rooms, washing windows, landscaping and planting flowers.
