Guidance services constitute an integral part of Trinity’s educational program. Three qualified counselors are available to help students with academic, personal, vocational, disciplinary and social concerns.
A variety of resources are available for student use in the Counseling Center as well as career and college resources in the library. These resources include: college, career, scholarship and financial aid information; an extensive college catalog file; videos and CDs; current college and occupational handbooks; and a variety of other printed materials. College representatives visit our campus during lunch on an on-going basis in order to be available to all levels of students.
The counselors meet with each student four times per year. This includes individual, group and casual meetings. Students may request additional appointments as they wish. During these conferences the counselors assist students in the following areas:
1. Assessment of current situation: general well-being, academic progress, co-curricular participation, social issues
2. Course selection and its rationale
3. College and vocational information
4. Study skills development
4. Referral information when necessary
