Social Studies


Trinity requires three years/four credits of Social Studies.

  • A variety of speakers, including many who currently hold elected positions, are regularly invited to address students in Political Science classes.
  • Social Studies courses play an integral part in the International Baccalaureate Curriculum at the higher level.
  •  An annual scholarship is awarded to a junior who best completes an essay demonstrating her expertise in the field of U.S. History.

All students are required to pass examinations on the Illinois and United States Constitution exams as a Graduation Requirement.
