The PRINTED POETRY reception on February 21 was a great success; seniors from Advanced Composition and Printmaking classes collaborated to create a wonderful gallery celebrating visual images inspired by the written word. Our Trinity librarians were kind enough to host the event and create a gallery in the south end of the library.
Visitors nibbled on cheese and crackers while strolling past the displays of student creativity; then the Trinity artists and writers presented their work. First the poets read their poetry; then the artists paired with them explained why they selected the poems they did and how the words inspired the corresponding images.
Ms. Buckley and Ms. Quimby were so pleased with the results that they hope to do a similar collaboration next year!
PRINTED POETRY will be on display through April.
