St Procopius Mural Project by I.B. Art and Design Students

On May 2nd and 3rd a group of students from Trinity's IB Art and Design Program brought their talents to St Procopius School, in Chicago's Pilsen area. Students designed and painted a large scale mural for the school's cafeteria. It features the central figure of the Virgin of Guadalupe and combines scenes from old Mexico with scenes of the Pilsen area today. Congratulations and thanks to all who helped make this vision a reality! The artists were: Guadalupe Arreola, Olinda Ayala, Katrina Ciurlionis, Olivia Collins, Emily Kurtenbach, Karina LeBarbera, Vivian Lozano, Rosie Nardulli, Kristin Pokrovac, Eva Ramirez, Andreja Siliunas, Ashley Valdez, and Alicia Zyburt.
