October 8 th - Tinley Park (Andrew) Girls IHSA Golf Regional Results
The Trinity Blazer Golf Team placed 7th (out of 14 teams) at the IHSA Regional’s today. Congratulations to Senior Monica Albano, who shot a 91 and will now advance to the IHSA Sectionals. Awesome efforts from Senior Monica Albano (91), Senior Marisa Trzebny (105) and Senior Adriana Preston (108).
October 1 - GCAC Championships
Trinity Varsity Golf Team takes 4th Place at the GCAC Tournament Trinity’s Monica Albano placed in the top ten. Monica shot 91 in the TournamentTrinity Junior Varsity Golf Team placed 5th at the GCAC Tournament
September 30 - TRINITY VARSITY GOLF TEAM DEFEATS RESURRECTION
Even with the temperature just under 58 degrees and a northern wind blowing across the Indian Boundary Golf Course the Trinity Girls stood up to the challenge and won the last match of the season. Giving the team 2 wins out of the last three matches - GO TRINITY GOLF!!!!!! Great efforts by all members of our varsity team in beating Resurrection with a match score of 187 to 195. Medalist for the Varsity Team was our Number One Player and Senior Monica Albano; she along with Adriana Preston, Emily Wessell, Marisa Tzebny and Rita Ryan pulled together a great win for our team and our school. Our Junior Varsity Team also had a great day, finishing with a 234 for the match due to the great efforts by Kristen Mazurek, Francesca Paterno, Dana Bartolon and especially Tori Valde for getting TRINITY the second Medalist of the day by posting a score of 48. - GO TRINITY GOLF!!!!!!
September 20th Mt. Assisi Invite
Congratulations to Adrianna Preston who shot a 92 and placed 4th and Catherine Amaro who shot a 98 and placed 10th in the Mt. Assisi Invite over the weekend.

Trinity Women’s Golf Team Beats out Regina High School
– During a heated match at Meadowlark Golf Course Trinity’s Varsity Golf Team was able to edge out Regina High School by eight strokes for a match win. Adriana Preston (senior) was Award Medalist for the match with a 46. While varsity players Catherine Amaro (Junior), Monica Albano (Senior), and Marisa Trzebny (Senior) followed with solid scores to give Trinity its first win for the season.
Trinity’s Junior Varsity team with two new freshman started off behind but rallied backed on the last three holes to give the Trinity JV Team a win. “It’s great for both our Varsity and JV teams to rally and bring home a win for Trinity. Coach Amaro and I are very proud of the way the girls played today” stated Head Coach Tom Macchione. Trinity is 1-1 for the season and a third place finish in the Peyton Academy Invitational, that was held last week.
2007-08 Season Wrap Up
Our season ended with 3 match wins, a 2nd place trophy at the Mt. Assisi Invitational (the 1st ever team golf trophy for Trinity) and Monica Albano qualifying for the IHSA Sectional Tournament. We fielded our largest team with 14 girls to start the season and for the 1st year we had a full JV team. The team played 11 matches, 2 invitationals, the GCAC Tournament and the IHSA Regional. Our scoring average for the year decreased by one stroke even though we lost our ace player from last year. This is a testament to the girls really stepping up to fill a void and practicing in the off season.
With the addition of Mr. Frank Amaro volunteering his time as assistant coach the year went really well. We were able to have more effective practices and his enthusiasm and energy had a big impact on the team.
