The Trinity High School athletic program includes ten sports and 22 teams. Trinity's Blazers participate in interscholastic athletic competition in conjunction with the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) under the auspices and rules of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). The main objective of Trinity's athletic program, which is cocurricular to our educational mission, is to foster participation, competition, sportsmanship, skill and social development.

Volleyball Player Signs with North Carolina
Tatiana Cooper, a 3 year starter, middle hitter, led the team in kills (242) and blocks (52) this season, Team Offensive Player of the Year 2009, earned a full scholarship to North Carolina A&T (Division I)

Volleyball Player Signs with the University of Alabama - Huntsville.
Shelby Vcelka daughter of Gina Staten Brabham ‘88 has committed to playing volleball with the UAH Chargers. "Shelby is a terrific setter and will add a tremendous lift to our program," said UAH Coach, LauraTaube. "We have only had one setter the past two seasons which has been very difficult, so adding her to the mix with surely make our team more competitive. She is a very gifted student athlete having received numerous awards and honors."

Among her accomplishments, Vcelka was a member of the 3-time Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Regional Championship team (2007, 2008, 2009) at Trinity High School. She was also a member of the IHSA Sectional Championship squad in 2007. Vcelka earned the Girl's Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) Red Division All-Conference Award and GCAC All-Academic Team honors in 2009.

Tennis Player Signs with Iowa University
Trinity senior Amanda Nunez signed a Letter of Intent to attend Upper Iowa University and play tennis for the Peacocks. She is the first Trinity student to receive a full scholarship for tennis. Amanda made it to state finals four years in a row and was on the all-star team for two years.
